The Mulligans
How many people out there have dreamed of being in a band? I used to. Now, of course, I AM in a band, and so need dream no more. We are The Mulligans, a Christian Ska band. Talent-wise, I'd say we're a 6-7 out of 10. Fame-wise, more like a 2. But hopefully that will change tonight. Tonight is a big concert. The guy hosting it is looking for new talent. That talent is us. We will be playing with four other bands at a nearby roller rink.
I am a trumpet player. I play alongside JJ, mentioned in an earlier post, who has come back from college to play this 'gig' with us. Our lead singer and rythm guitarist is a cool cat who goes by the name of Brian. Younger Bennett Brother Jake is our drummer, and though youngest, possibly the most mature member of the band. We also have a brand-spankin'-new bass player, Drew. Our last one didn't work out, as he was too busy to come to practices. It's almost for the better though, as Drew has some mad skillz.
Our lineup for the concert:
Beyond These Streets
A moderate-tempo, groovin' piece with a pretty sweet lick and a longing for something more.
It's 4 AM (Do You Know Where Your Children Are?)
A personal favorite. Upbeat, smily kind of song about the rebellious nature of today's youth, myself included.
Tell Me Why
A fun-sounding song with a swing beat. Don't let the music fool you, though; try listening to the lyrics, and see if you still feel like dancing.
Help Me More
An epic song written by our late bass player David. One of our earlier pieces, and the first one with group vocals!
The Greatest Things In Life
A true classic. Our first song ever, and still just as catchy as the first time we played it. Upbeat, happy, and exciting, as one might gather from the title itself.
I Burn Bridges (Like Nobody's Business)
A newer song, and another favorite of mine. If you hear it, be sure to 'Oi' along.
Let's Go
An amazing song that we wrote the very first day I was in the band, and recorded the next day. It wasn't a bad recording, either. A great end for a show. Or beginning, for that matter.
I'll post again tonight with the concert's results. Until then, ciao.

Best in that he's pretty good, true. Chris is my favorite, though. He's sexy, funny, and very talented.
